As with any change we feel is over and above our control, our natural reaction is fear. The resulting panic can stimulate business leaders in to a choice of knee jerk reactions. Prices are cut, everyone is fired, operations are moved offshore, and a few businesses even throw in the towel. We rationalize these short-term decisions as solutions but, the truth is, they simply delay the inevitable.
